How do I list my staffing needed for a recovery plan?

Follow

Catalyst will allow you to list your organizations staffing requirements two ways. The first and most commonly used, is to list your recovery staffing requirements by department, typically used in a department recovery plan. The second way, is to list your staffing requirements based on location, and this is used in location based recovery plans. The following will provide steps for both.

Recovery Staffing by Department

To display recovery staffing by department, you will need a recovery plan with the department field populated on the plan properties. To verify that, open the recovery plan and click Plan Actions and select Edit Properties from the menu. Locate the Department field and make sure that a department is listed. If not, add one and click save.

Next, you will need to check if the Recovery Staffing document section has been added to the plan. To check, scroll through the plan and look for any sections that display the staffing requirements, you can verify the section is correct by hovering your mouse over the section heading. After a few seconds, a text box will appear telling you the type of document section being used. If you do not have the document section needed, go to the area of the plan you want the section to appear.

On the section before where the staffing section should appear, hover over the section title until the blue drop down menu appears. From the drop down menu select New Section. In the light blue section with the Heading From Business Impact Analysis, select the Recovery Staffing option. Give the section a title, and provide any description you would like in the content field, then click Save.

Catalyst will now automatically populate the section with any recovery staffing requirements that have been declared in the Department BIA.

Recovery Staffing by Location

To display recovery staffing by location, you will need a recovery plan with the location field populated on the plan properties. To verify that, open the recovery plan and click Plan Actions and select Edit Properties from the menu. Locate the Location field and make sure that a location is listed. If not, add one and click save.

After a few seconds, a text box will appear telling you the type of document section being used.
